Ramos, Messi "didn't erase 10 years of Clásicos from nowhere" - PSG source on pair's relationship

Former Real-Barca rivals, Ramos and Messi both joined PSG this summer following the expiration of their respective contracts and have been getting to grips with life as team mates after years of heated Clásico encounters.

Update:
Ramos, Messi "didn't erase 10 years of Clásicos from nowhere" - PSG source on pair's relationship

Sergio Ramos has been the main protagonist of the French footballing world this Wednesday.

Having returned to group training for the first time in several months, the injury-stricken PSG defender was Wednesday’s cover star of French sports daily L’Equipe, which featured an article detailing the former Real Madrid captain’s relationship with his team mates at the Parisian club, including Lionel Messi.

Former Real-Barca rivals, Ramos and Messi both joined PSG this summer following the expiration of their respective contracts and have been getting to grips with life as team mates after years of heated Clásico encounters.

Messi-Ramos relationship “cordial”

According to a L’Equipe source inside the dressing room, Ramos has a good relationship with all of his team mates “without distinction”.

His relationship with the ex-Azulgrana Messi is “cordial”, according to L’Equipe’s source, who added, though, that the pair “did not erase 10 years of Clásicos from nowhere”.

The dressing room source also highlighted Ramos’ mentality and strength in his bid to recover from the constant relapses of a calf injury that has so far stopped him from making his PSG debut.

As reported yesterday by Le Parisien, Ramos will increase his training sessions in the coming days as he pushes towards making his debut which, in the best-case scenario, could finally come at the end of November.

His availability for the game against Nantes on the 20 November is practically ruled out, but the 35-year-old center back is eager to play as soon as possible as he looks to prove to PSG fans that the club did not make a mistake in signing him.
