Next stop, Paris. The French capital will see the best players in the world compete for one of the most prestigious trophies in tennis, the Musketeers’ Cup.

If there are no last-minute major surprises, the 14-time champion Rafa Nadal will finally compete after playing in Barcelona and Rome and will hope to get as far as possible in the event, although he seems far from his best level. Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz stand out as the main favorites to win it, but Alexander Zverev may be a big threat, given his good performance in Rome, where he won the title. Moreover, he gave Nadal quite a few problems before getting seriously injured two years ago.

Casper Ruud will be another player to watch, as the clay-court specialist enjoys the slowish conditions in Paris. And, obviously, the world No. 2 Jannik Sinner is fighting against the clock to make it to the tournament although his hip issues could force him to withdraw from the event.

In the women’s category, Iga Swiatek is the favorite to win her fourth French Open title and will be the defending champion in Paris. Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff, Marketa Vondrousova, and Ons Jabeur will be some of the main threats to the Pole, who has only lost four matches this campaign.
