Update:
NBA Game Summaries: Wednesday, November 17

Wednesday's NBA games saw the Hornets add to their win streak, a Doncic-less Mavs team fall to the Suns, and the Greek Freak putting up big points to beat the Lakers.

Scores around the league

Charlotte Hornets 97
Washington Wizards 87

The Hornets saw their fourth straight victory and ended the Wizard’s five-game winning streak on Wednesday night. Terry Rozier put up 19 points and eight rebounds in the win over Washington. The Wizards will go on to play the Miami Heat on Friday night and the Hornets will host the Indiana Pacers Friday night.

Atlanta Hawks 110
Boston Celtics 88

The Hawks took down the Celtics, John Collins leading with 20 points and 11 rebounds to give Atlanta their third straight win. Cam Reddish and Kevin Huerter weren’t far behind with 19 points each, including a three-pointer that put the Hawks in the lead late in the third quarter. The Celtics will go back to Boston to host the LA Lakers this Friday night and the Hawks are going to host the Hornets on Saturday.

Milwaukee Bucks 109
Los Angeles Lakers 102

It was an impressive night for both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton. Antetokounmpo scored a season high of 47 points and Middleton tied the Bucks record for career three-pointers in the win over the LA Lakers. Middleton was just coming back after missing eight games due to Covid 19, and he came back with a bang, scoring two three-pointers back to back within 30 seconds. The Lakers will play the Celtics in Boston on Friday and the Bucks will host the Thunder on Friday.

Minnesota Timberwolves 107
Sacramento Kings 97

Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns had huge games in the Timberwolves victory over Sacramento. Edwards scored a total of 26 points, 16 of which happened just in the final quarter, of which four were three-pointers. Towns put up 22 points in the 107-97 victory. The Kings will return home to play the Toronto Raptors on Friday, and the Timberwolves will host the Spurs for their first back-to-back on Thursday.

Phoenix Suns 105
Dallas Mavericks 98

Without Doncic, the Mavs suffered a Suns defeat, with Devin Booker leading the Suns with 21 points and nine rebounds. It was Chris Paul though who really impressed with a total 14 assists that helped lead the Suns to victory. The Mavs have a lot of work to do, as it seems they won’t get very far without their star player. The Mavs and Suns will get a chance to play each other again this Saturday.

Portland Trailblazers 112
Chicago Bulls 107

Larry Nance Jr. threw a pair of free throws, sinking them right into the basket with 12 seconds left in the game against the Bulls to secure the win amongst a melody of chants from the crowd in his name. Damian Lillard ended the game with 22 points and 10 assists. The Bulls will play the Nuggets in Denver Friday night and the Trail Blazers will host the 76ers on Saturday night.
