Madden passed unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, and no cause of death has been released.
He was most known for his easy access explanations of the game while combining catchphrases and charisma to each and every broadcast. He also coached the Oakland Raiders for a decade through the 60’s and 70’s with a record of 103-32-7. His win percentage of .759 remains tops for any coach with more than 100 games on the sidelines.
