Who has won the most FIFA Best player awards?

The FIFA The Best award ceremony will take place in Zurich on 17 January with Bayern Munich striker Lewandowski tipped to win the Men's Player of the Year award.

Who has won the most FIFA Best player awards?

Following a breakaway from prestigious magazine France Football who oversaw the 'Ballon d'Or award, FIFA created their own individual award and staged the first 'The Best' ceremony in January, 2017 in Zurich (Switzerland) with Cristiano Ronaldo picking up the first award. The voting for this award is carried out by an international jury which composes of national team managers and captains, a pool of journalists and a percentage of the vote is also made by fans who vote through e FIFA website.

The Best FIFA Football Awards 2021, live online today: nominees, votes and winners

The 2021 FIFA The Best Awards will be staged in Zurich at a virtual event on Monday 17 January with Bayern Munich and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski expected to be crowned once again as the best in the men's game equaling Cristainao Ronaldo with two wins as FC Barcelona and Spain international Alexia Putellas primed to bag the women's award.
