Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski bagged his 300th Bundesliga goal over the weekend as the Bavarian table toppers brushed Koln aside to maintain their advantage at the top of the table.

The Bavarians, chasing a record-extending 10th consecutive league title, bounced back from last week's loss to Borussia Moenchengladbach and have 46 points from 19 games with Dortmund in second place on 40.

Speaking post game, Bayern manager Nagelsmann hoped that his star striker would be awarded the FIFA The Best award on Monday for player of the year. The ceremony will take place at a virtual event from Zurich.

Lewandowski is second on the league's all-time scorers list with only Bayern great Gerd Mueller ahead of him with 365 goals.
