Eden Hazard's days at Real Madrid could be numbered. The Belgian was part of the squad that lifted the Super Cup despite not playing a single minute - either in the semi-final against Barcelona or Sunday's final against Athletic. Two and a half seasons after arriving in Madrid, the club's most recent galáctico signing could have won his last title with the club.

Hazard wants to leave Real Madrid, according to claims made on Twitter by Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who covers the national team for RMC Sport. Tavolieri explained that there is an ongoing debate between medical staff who have advised the player to undergo another operation and those who disagree and feel he should be playing more to attract potential buyers with a view to selling him.

Serious face during the Super Cup celebrations

Hazard's behaviour during the team's celebrations after winning the Super Cup didn't go unnoticed on Twitter. Images show a serious-faced Hazard in different moments - when going up to collect his winners' medal, celebrating with the team on the podium and during the victory parade when the cup was taken around around the King Fahd stadium to show to the fans. Only once did he crack a shy smile while posing for photographers. Tellingly, in some of the images, Hazard has taken his medal off.

Since he joined Real Madrid on a 100 million euro deal from Chelsea in the summer of 2019, Hazard he never shown the kind of form which the cklub expected from him. His general fitness and struggles with injuries haven't helped - he has taken part in just 59 games in two and a half seasons, and completed just five full matches. This season he has appeared 16 times in the 30 matches played so far, featuring in the starting XI eight times. He has totalled 724 minutes of playing time - 26.5% of the total possible, which places him 17th in the list of players who Ancelotti has used the most.
