Is Keylor Navas better than Guillermo Ochoa?

The Mexico national team will host Costa Rica at the Azteca stadium for matchday 10 of the World Cup qualifiers in CONCACAF.

Estados UnidosUpdate:
Is Keylor Navas better than Guillermo Ochoa?

For several years, there has been an ongoing battle to determine who is the best goalkeeper in CONCACAF: Keylor Navas or Guillermo Ochoa. The experienced goalkeepers will see each other tonight at the Azteca stadium for matchday 10 of the World Cup qualifiers when Mexico hosts Costa Rica.

Guillermo Ochoa

The Mexican goalkeeper has been the starter for the national team for almost ten years and he has made 123 appearances across all competitions. Guillermo Ochoa has conceded 128 goals and kept 49 clean sheets. The Club América player has won four Gold Cup titles with the Mexican national team.

Keylor Navas

The goalkeeper from Costa Rica has played for the biggest clubs in Europe like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. He helped the LaLiga side win three back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles, but he has struggled with the Costa Rica national team. Navas has 101 appearances with ‘Los Ticos’ across all competitions and has kept 36 clean sheets.

The experienced goalkeeper has played 9,001 minutes with the national team and he has conceded 106 goals. Navas has not won any titles with Costa Rica, but he helped them make history in the 2014 FIFA World Cup when they reached the quarter-finals for the first time and lost to the Netherlands in penalties.
