In PSG's 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League round-of-16 first-leg, Kylian Mbappé showed off the skills that keep Real Madrid in pursuit of him.

In the last minute, Neymar sent the assist off the back of his heel to Mbappé, who took the ball past both Lucas Vazquez and Eder Militao to take the shot right past the goalie Thibaut Courtois into the corner of the net. That game-winning goal puts Mbappé at 52 goals in 52 UCL games.

Courtois saved his last three pens in all competitions and did save a Lionel Messi penalty kick, but he didn't stand a chance against Mbappé.

"Mbappé is unstoppable," said Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti. "We tried to control him by double marking and Militao did that well. But he is a player who can always come up with something and he did that in the last minute."

Real Madrid took just three shots, their lowest total in a Champions League game since stats started being tracked. The team has progressed in three of eight UCL ties after a 1-0 defeat in an away first leg.

Ancelotti said he remains optimistic for the second leg. "PSG was better in the first game, but we will have to do it at home and we won't have to worry about away goals and that can help us."
