Barcelona had a spectacular performance at El Clásico on Sunday, dominating Real Madrid to extend their undefeated LaLiga streak to 13 and beat Madrid 4-0. The victory was the biggest since 2018.

The Catalan giants started the first half in the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid with a powerful 2-0 lead thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ronald Araujuo. Then they came into the second half just as strong, with another Aubameyang goal and one more by Ferran Torres to seal the victory over Madrid, 4-0.

Barca's head coach Xavi Hernández has led the team to 18 wins in their last 20 games in all competitions, and the only two losses they experienced came in overtime.

"This is the path to follow. This is the way we want to play. It was a complete performance," said Xavi. "We were much better than Madrid. We played almost as the home team at their ground."

Xavi, who played for Barcelona previously, is the first man to win by four goals at Real Madrid as both a Barcelona player and a Barcelona coach. Before joining as coach for Barcelona, the team was ninth in the league. Since he took over, they have risen to third place, just three points behind Sevilla, who they will face after the international break.

"It's very difficult to win 4-0 here and play so well," he said. "I'm very happy for the players because some of them have gone through a difficult stage of their careers. They were criticized and judged and they've proved they have personality, they are bold, and this is the way we can move forward."

When the game ended, Barcelona defender Gerard Pique posted on Twitter, "We are back." When asked if Xavi agreed with Pique's comment, he said, "Maybe we can say we're back."

"I don't know if we can win the title, we can't rule out anything," Xavi said. "Maybe we're a bit late, but this is a very big win for us.
