Pedri on Erling Haaland, LaLiga title race, Xavi and Luis Enrique
The Spain international spoke about the Borussia Dortmund striker at a press conference with the national team.
Spain midfielder Pedri has spoken from Spain's training base in an interview with TV3 ahead of La Roja's upcoming friendlies.
The Barcelona player discussed Erling Haaland potentially joining the Camp Nou outfit among other things.
On Erling Haaland
(Erling) Haaland has great qualities, and almost everything he touches ends up in a goal. I hope he can come because I've always said, I want the best players at Barça.
Spain's number 10
I've always liked the number 8, but Koke has it here [Spanish national team] and you have to respect the player who has been here the longest. 10 is a very nice number but regardless of the number on my back, I try to enjoy myself on the pitch and be myself.
What would be a success in Qatar?
A good result would be to win the World Cup, but it's a very difficult competition. Let's take it one game at a time, hopefully we can put another star on the crest.
Friends in the national team
I get along with Gavi, Ferran Torres and Unai Simón, and with Eric (García) too. They are the ones I have the closest relationship with and I have a lot of fun here.
Barcelona talk
Pedri on Xavi
All teams, when they change coach, have that extra boost to run a lot more and earn their place in the side. And if it's a coach like Xavi, who was a legend of the club, you have to give it your all.
Fighting for the league with Real Madrid
We have to try to win everything and make them lose and put pressure on them. We can win the league, I'm not saying we can't.
Luis Enrique's best quality
The way he transmits things, he does it very well and you can see that on the pitch and you can see it in the players.
Xavi and Luis Enrique
They have similar things, they like to press high and have the ball.
What Pedri still needs to improve on
The coaches ask me to get into the box more and score more goals.
