Pedri secures maximum points for Barcelona
Cheers for joining us tonight as Barcelona win and move to second in the league!
Wonderful game between two excellent sides. Barcelona move to second and Sevilla slip to fourth.
That's it... the whistle sounds and Barcelona win with a wonderful strike from Pedri in the 72nd minute.
Corner for Barça as the clock ticks down.... Everything pointing to 3 points for the home side.
Ter Stegen makes a mess of fisting away but quickly reacts and saves well from Agustinsson
4 minutes of time to be added
Big ovation for the Frenchman.... How the tune at Camp Nou has changed towards the winger who wanted out back in January.
Dembele off with Nico his replacement ...
Once again, a dreadful pass from Ocampos. Never seen the former Marseille man deliver such a disapointing performance.
Kounde intercepts perfectly to deny Ferran as the Barcelona man was about to pull the trigger.
Ocampos carded... a highly frustrating night for the Argentine
This 1-0 scoreline would see Barcelona move to second in the table and Sevilla would drop to fourth with Atleti third.
Pique pulls Mir back as the ref cards the Barcelona player... Tecatito and Mir carded too for protest... Pablo Sanz sent off on the SFC bench.
Sevilla pushing up now as the look for an equaliser...
Ocampos has an effort from the edge of the box and it's poor from the Argentine... not the best performace we've seen from the No. 5 tonight
Augustinsson on too for Sevilla as Martial makes way
Dembele carded....
The Dutchman makes way for Rafa Mir
Auba off for FCB with Memphis on.
Ten left as Sevilla look for the counter... Rekic is on the ground and seems to have developed a muscular problem.
More changes imminent for Sevilla as Montiel comes on for Gudelj. En Neysri is on for Navas.
Great cross from Dembele as he finds Ferran but once again Bono was alert to stop.
Gavi on for De Jong (FCB change)
Fifteen left for Sevilla to respond.
What a player Pedri is ...19 years of age and already a tremendous talent ! The Camp Nou is rocking now!
Pedri strikes
FCB 1-0 SFC
Checks past two Sevilla defender and fires home a wonderful strike that leaves Bono stranded.
Pedri breaks the deadlock with a sumptuous strike from outside the box....
Busquets finds Dembele and once again Bono tips over. Whistles as the ref awards a goal kick. Sevilla break and Martial shoots and forces Ter Stegen to respond.
You can't take your eyes of the game ... end to end stuff ... Barcelona dominate but Sevilla looking very dsngerous as they counter
Pique from the edge of the box with an angled shot as Bono is quick to react and palm wide.... Pique now heads off the bar as Bono this time was beaten
Rakitic and Gudelj over the ball.... The Croatian veteran to strike.... Great hit as the ball finds the top of the net....
Change for Sevilla as Lamela makes way for Tecatito.
Sevilla poised to make a change as Jordan is clipped by Alves on the edge of the box.
Pedri to Alba and the left back finds Ferran who lifts the ball over the bar with a decent chance.
Dembele finds Ferran and Bono is forced to save from close range... Once again the Moroccan stopper tips over as Barcelona press.
Busquets carded for pulling back Lamela. First outfield player carded tonight !
Joan Jordan should be in the Spain team.... just putting that out there !
Sevilla have only shipped 19 goals in LaLiga this season and it's clear to see why with a solid rearguard marshaled by the likes of Diego Carlos, Kounde and the absent tonight Fernando.
Xavi carded for protesting... first card of the night for the FCB coach
Sevilla are looking less comfortable now as they mange to mount a counter and a final ball from Navas is inches too high for Ocampos. A warning for Barcelona !
Sevilla clear the danger again as Jordi Alba lands badly and gets to his feet gingerly.
Sevilla being forced to sit deep now as Barcelona dominate.
What a run from Pedri and when it seemed easier to shoot, the Canary Islander opts for the pull-back as Sevilla clear for a corner.
Dani Alves is still on the ground as the FCB medical team assist the Brazilian.
Sevilla break as Alves is robbed of the ball and Sevilla break, the ball falls to Lamela as Ter Stegen is saved.
Eric Garcia warming up for Barcelona with Rafa Mir and En Nesyri obvious changes for Sevilla but both men still on the bench.
All set for the second half..... Sevilla start the action....
Sevilla a little slower in getting back on the pitch and as things stand, it appears that we have no changes at the break.
The sides make their way back to the Camp Nou pitch.
HT at Camp Nou
0-0 at the interval ....
Everything to play for in the second 45... both sides have enjoyed large spells of dominance but it's the home side who have gone closer to scoring with Bono saving Sevilla on a number of occasions. Ter Stegen yet to be tested and Sevilla will look for more from Martial in the second half.
Dembele looks dangerous each and every time he's on the ball for the home side.
The whistle sounds and it's half time at Camp Nou.
Despite some excellent build up play, Sevilla have yet to test Ter Stegen who has enjoyed a placid 45' at Camo Nou tonight.
2 minutes of time will be added as Bono has to save well as Auba almost catches the Moroccan out.
Barcelona inches away as Pedri finds Dembele who nods into the danger zone and Kounde has to come to the rescue to avert the danger as Auba lurked. Barça knocking on the door now.
Big penalty call for Barcelona as Auba appeals for a pull by Kounde. Ref waves the appeal away and it looked liked the Gabonese striker went to ground easily.... To be honest we've seen little of the former Arsenal man tonight.
Dembele has been quiet for the past 15 minutes and all flashes of danger for Barça have come via his runs and deliveries so far tonight.
Ferran shoots and easy for Bono to gather.
Less than ten minutes remain of the half. The game wonderfully poised despite the lack of goal mouth incident. Neither keeper have really been stretched so far but the ability both sides have to move the ball around with poise is worth the admission price alone.
Martial shoots and the ball takes a deflection as Sevilla enjoy a sustained spell of pressure now.
Pique handles and Sevilla win a dangerous free. Jordan to take...
Past the half an hour mark and Sevilla enjoying more possession than the home side!
Two half calls from both sides for penalty kicks but in both cases, it was clearly ball to arm (arms in very natural positions) and no penalty call on both cases.
Confusion in the Sevilla box as the ball falls to Pedri and the Canary Islander drives the ball over the box.
Good from Sevilla now as they build up with the ball zipping around from white shirt to white shirt... No way through though as Sevilla appeal for a spot kick. The ball moves down to the other end and Dembele does well but Sevilla avert the danger.
Jordi Alba goes close for Barcelona... Incidentally Kounde the only Sevilla player to opt for the gloves tonight....
Quite a few players wearing gloves tonight.... Auba, Dembele and Pedri all keeping their fingers toasty...It's currently 7C/45F in the Catalan capital.... fresh but it's not North Dakota in December !
Two sides who move the ball around really well in action tonight with the expansive Camp Nou pitch perfect for both teams style.
Just that Ferran effort resembling any sort of goal mouth danger but it's a bright game.
Good to see Bono back between the sticks for Sevilla. The Moroccan stopper was taken off midway during the midweek World Cup qualifier in Casablanca as the 'Atlas Lions' beat DR Congo to advance to the 2022 World Cup with concerns about the Seville keeper's fitness levels folloing a serious blow to the head.
Araujo this time with the header from Barcelona but the Uruguayan defender heads over.
Dembele finds De Jong and the Dutchman stretching heads over. Sublime control from Dembele who is in flying form recently.
Better from Sevilla now as they try and work the ball down their left hand side. Barcelona clear and once again start their traditional patient build up as Dembele has an effort from the edge of the box.
Those Barcelona half and half shorts really are shockers !
Ferran Torres goes inches wide as he cuts inside and delivers one of his trademark curling efforts which just lacks whip and Bono sees the fall drift wide.
It's a crisp and fresh evening tonight in the Catalan capital and Xavi has donned a long black trench-coat to deal with the low temperatures...
On the subject of Sevilla, they have just 200 supporters at Camp Nou tonight to support their side and are housed high in the upper tier.
Five minutes gone and possession has been almost exclusively 'azul-grana' ...Sevilla chasing shadows...
Alves crosses and Ocampos handles.... danger for the visitors as Barcelona are awarded a free.
This is good to see as Busquets moves to the half way line and asks to get back on the pitch.....
This does not look good as Gavi warms up and a very, very early setback for the home side. It was actually Pique who caught the central player and he now gets to his feet.....
Bad news for Barcelona as Busquets lies silent on the Camp Nou pitch after getting an elbow in the face
We had a brief minute's silence for former FCB President Carrasco who passed away on 20 March
Off we go at Camp Nou as Barcelona start the game
Decent crowd at Camp Nou tonight, somewhat short of the 91,000 we saw midweek for the Women's Champions League tie, but it looks like 70,000 plus in attendance tonight.
The teams are in the tunnel with high fives and hugs all round with Alves and Rakitic at the centre of attention....
Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns n' Roses the pre-game tune playing at the Camp Nou PA with kick-off just minutes away....
Barcelona sporting director Mateu Alemany speaking pre-game: "We're delighted with the Spotify deal and it will provide an important cash injection which is badly needed". He refused to be drawn on contract renewal deals for the likes of Dembele and Araujo. In a similar manner, he swerved a question on Rudiger despite being spotted earlier this week with the Chelsea player's agent in a Barcelona restaurant.
A defeat for Sevilla would really edge the title towards the Santiago Bernabeu side. Eight games will remain in the 2021-22 campaign after tonight's game and despite Ancelotti's men having to travel to the Sanchez Pizjuan, it's unthinkable that Madrid could let such a lead slip.
Jose Castro: 'Our objective is a UCL place'
Speaking to Movistar ahead of the game, Sevilla FC president Pepe Castro reiterated that the objective for the club is to secure a Champions League place and lamented that the recent run of draws had not been converted into wins.
Both sides will be in their classic kits tonight, Barcelona in their azulgrana with Sevilla in all white.
It will be an emotional night for the likes of Ivan Rakitic and Dani Alves as they face their former sides. Subs Munir (Sevilla) and Lenglet (Barcelona) are also in action against their former clubs.

Barcelona are in flying form... They edged out Galatasaray to keep their Europa League dreams alive and come into tonight's fixture after a solid 0-4 demolition of Real Madrid at the Bernabeu before the FIFA break.
Sevilla continue to stutter and have become the draw specialists in recent weeks. Lopetegui's men were also dumped out of the Europa League by West Ham, an elimination made more painful with the final set to be staged at their very own Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan next month.

Xavi eyes second place in LaLiga
The Catalan giants are 12 points adrift of Los Blancos with a game in hand and Xavi has demanded they maintain their momentum at the expense of Sevilla.
"The message is to continue, not to let our guard down, not to relax," he said. "The Bernabéu was good, but the goals are to be as high as possible in the league and win the Europa League."
The coach added: "The break could have been good for us. It is a final sprint in which we have to grit our teeth."
Luuk de Jong will not face his parent club after testing positive for coronavirus, while Sergiño Dest, Samuel Umtiti, Ansu Fati and Sergi Roberto are ruled out due to injury.
Barcelona dressing room is ready
The iconic azulgrana shirts are ready at the home dressing room as the clock ticks towards kick-off.
Absentees: SFC
Sevilla too are missing some key squad members: Acuña, Fernando, Delaney, Suso and Papu Gomez.
Absentees: FCB
The Catalan side will be missing five key players tonight: De Jong, Ansu Fati, Dest, Sergi Roberto and Umtiti
Am pretty sure that even the most optimistic Sevilla FC fan would acknowledge that a real tilt at the league title is a very long shot. Having said Madrid do have a tricky fixture list and have yet to visit the Sanchez Pizjuan.
Barcelona will be looking over their shoulders at Real Betis who are now fifth after their win today at home to Osasuna. Xavi's side hold a one point advantage over the green and white side of Seville with a top four finish imperative for the Catalan side's financial health.
A mouth-watering contest awaits as Barcelona in second welcome second placed Sevilla with Real Madrid streaking away in the league with a 12 point following Saturday's win over Celta Vigo for 'Los Blancos'
The action in the Catalan capital gets underway at 2100 CEST/3 p:m ET.
