Champions League Preview: Manchester City vs Atlético Madrid

Atlético Madrid will travel to Ethiad to take on Manchester City in their first leg of the Champions League quarter-final this Tuesday at 3 p.m. ET. City made it past Sporting Lisbon 5 to nothing in the last 16, and Atleti barely scraped past the Red Devils in a two to one win to make it into the quarter-finals.

Here's what you need to know ahead of the game.

This will be the fourth meeting between Pep Guardiola and Diego Simeone. Pep has two wins and Simeone has one.

Atleti are looking to win back-to-back away games against English opposition for the first time. (They beat Manchester United 1-0 on March 15.)

City have only lost one of their last nine Champions League knockout games (seven wins, one tie, and one loss).

Since his debut for City in 2015-16, Kevin De Bruyne has provided more UCL assists than any other player for an English team with 17.

Antoine Griezmann has been directly involved in six goals in his last six Champions League appearances (four goals and two assists).
