Top of the mornin’ to ya and Happy St. Patrick’s Day when it arrives, movie buffs! As the shamrocks sprout and the leprechauns dance, it’s time to paint the town, or a certain river, green with a pint of Guinness in one hand and a remote control in the other, from the comfort of our own living rooms.

St. Patrick’s Day isn’t just about wearing green – although who am I to stop you – but celebrating all things Irish, including the vibrant cinema scene that is linked to it! I may not know your age, taste or disposition, which means some of these movie ideas may not take your fancy, but grab your lucky charms and buckle up as I take you on a pun-filled cinematic journey through the Emerald Isle, in no particular order.
