Update:

The nominations for this year’s British Academy of Film and Television Awards, widely known as the BAFTAs, are dominated by Ryan Coogler’s vampire drama “Sinners” and Paul Thomas Anderson’s black comedy "One Battle After Another," starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn. The two movies also lead the nominations for the 2026 Oscars, which were announced last week.

“One Battle After Another” is up for 14 separate awards at the 2026 BAFTAs, one more than “Sinners.” Also in double figures are “Marty Supreme” and “Hamnet,” which have received 11 nominations each.

When are the 2026 BAFTAs?

The ceremony for the 79th British Academy Film Awards will take place on Sunday, February 22 at London’s Royal Festival Hall, and will be hosted by Scottish actor Alan Cumming.
