A look at every Latin artist performing at Coachella 2023

Spanish-language artists are taking over Coachella, here’s a look at who’s performing.

With Coachella 2023 gearing up this weekend, this year’s lineup is complete with a number of artists of Latin American or Spanish descent.

Bad Bunny becomes the festival’s first-ever Latin artist to headline the event for both weekends, joined by K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK and rapper Frank Ocean.

Which Latin or Spanish-speaking artists will perform at Coachella 2023?

Bad Bunny will perform on Friday, April 14 and 21, where he’ll be joined by Becky G, DannyLux and ¿Téo?.

On Saturday the 15th and 22nd, Bratty, Eladio Carrión, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs and The Linda Lindas will be performing. Spanish artist Rosalía will also be joining her Latin contemporaries on these dates.

Kali Uchis, Los Bitchos and Conexión Divina will perform on Sunday the 16th and 23rd.

History of Latin artists at Coachella

Coachella 2022 saw the highest number of Latin or Spanish-speaking artists performing, with almost 20 Latin Artists taking to the festival’s stages.

At the festival, Becky G joined Karol G to perform their song ‘MAMII’.

Anitta, Nicki Nicole, Nathy Peluso, Omar Apollo, Ed Maverick, Jessie Reyez, Pabllo Vittar, and many more also performed.

Both Karol G and Anitta became the first Latinas to perform at the Coachella Stage, the festival’s main stage, in 2022.

“Many artists start off on other Coachella stages and scale up through the years. My first participation at Coachella, though it wasn’t as a headliner, was on the main stage, and two artists ahead of the headlining act,” said Karol G at the time.

“That was a big commitment for me. ... It was a moment for me to show who we Latinos are, to introduce a culture that many people may still not know very well.

Grupo Firme, Natanael Cano and Banda MS made their debut in 2022 after Coachella 2020 was canceled, as the three musica Mexicana acts.

At Coachella 2018, legendary cumbia band Los Angeles Azules made their first appearance. In 2019, norteño group Los Tucanes de Tijuana became Coachella’s first regional Mexican act to perform.

In previous years, the Latin indie rock bands Los Amigos Invisibles, Cafe Tacvba and Zoe also made regular appearances.
