Adele has shot down rumours she won’t be attending the 2023 Grammy Awards.

Music’s Biggest Night is returning to Los Angeles, California and the Dolby Theatre after relocating to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas last year, and there were reports the 34-year would would miss the event since it takes place during her Las Vegas residency.

Adele put those rumours to bed during a recent residency show at Caesars Palace. While seated behind a piano, she mentioned that she had been approached by people all week asking why she wouldn’t be attending the Grammys.

“Whoever started that rumour is a dickhead, ‘cause I am going to the Grammys,” she said. “I would never miss the Grammys.

I would never be as disrespectful to the Grammys or to other artists, and whoever started that little story needs to go and touch some grass, alright? Go and get some fresh air, alright darlings.

In the past Adele has never missed a show for which she had been nominated, which is why the rumour surprised fans.

Although the singer has confirmed she will be in attendance, there’s no word on whether she will be performing at the upcoming show.

The list of announced performers includes Bad Bunny, Brandi Carlile, Mary J Blige, Lizzo, Steve Lacy, Luke Combs, Sam Smith, and Kim Petras.

Hits Daily Double reports that the Recording Academy’s TV Committee are still looking to land one of Taylor Swift or Beyonce.

Adele nominated for seven awards

Since 2009, Adele has won a total of 15 Grammys.

She’s nominated for seven awards at this year’s event, including Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Music Video, all for her single ‘Easy On Me’.

Her nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album are for the record the song appears on, ‘30′.

She’s also been nominated for Best Music Film for her concert movie, ‘Adele: One Night Only’, while Tobias Jesso Jr. is nominated for Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical) for his work on her songs ‘Can I Get It’ and ‘To Be Loved’.

Adele released ‘30′ in November 2021. It features the singles ‘Easy On Me’, ‘Oh My God’ and ‘I Drink Wine’.
