All about Kate Middleton’s new Instagram account

Kate Middleton has launched an Instagram account for The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, an organization she created under the umbrella foundation, Royal Foundation, she has with husband Prince William.

The foundation’s mission is to advocate for early childhood, with emphasis on the first five years of a child’s life being the most critical, and providing support to those in the next generation to have a brighter future.

Princess Kate herself is the face of the foundation’s Instagram page, which has posted photos and videos about the important issue of nurturing children from the womb and into their developing years.

“Our early childhood, the time from pregnancy to the age of five, fundamentally shapes the rest of our lives,” the Duchess of Cambridge said in the video.

The mother of three then introduced the foundation’s new campaign, Shaping Us:

“Today, the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood is launching a new campaign, the Princess said, “to raise awareness of the life-changing impact we can have when we build a supportive, nurturing world around children and those who care for them.”

Middleton emphasized that #ShapingUs, which has a 1000 days initiative, will help people understand how important the early years are to shaping the adults we become.

The announcement received plenty of positive feedback.

“Thank you for pushing the message of the 1st 1000 days,” one supporter said of the initiative. “If we want a healthy adult population we’ve got to start at the beginning - preconception, pregnancy, childhood and families.”

According to the Princess, the foundation aims to “increase public understanding of the crucial importance of the first five years of a child’s life”, which many fans have responded to with great encouragement.

“So pleased that this work is FINALLY being acknowledged by mainstream world. It is sooo important and really does shape the future of our children and our world,” one person wrote in the comments section,” wrote one user.

“An ambassador after my own heart and mission,” said another. “I am passionate about provided the hands on resources and actual tools to support parents and teachers.”

“As an Early Years teacher I want to say thank you,” added another. “Thank you for raising awareness to the importance of early childhood experiences. I have made it my life’s work to make a difference to children’s lives and will continue to do so for as long as I am able. A task that is difficult to say the least but incredibly rewarding. On behalf of the children, thank you.”
