All the surprise Coachella 2023 appearances from both weekends
There has been no shortage of star power at Coachella 2023, with plenty of surprise names also showing off their talents at the festival.
Fans have been treated to plenty of eye catching performances at Coachella 2023.
With big names like Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK and Frank Ocean (who unfortunately had to pull out due to an injury) headlining, there’s been no shortage of impressive acts over the course of the two weekends from April 14-16 and April 21-23.
Along with the names listed on the announced setlists, there have also been plenty of surprise guests performances as well.
Here’s a look at all the surprise guests at Coachella 2023 over both weekends.
Blink-182
Added to the festival lineup as a surprise guest just a day before the opening weekend, Blink-182 delivered hits like ‘What’s My Age Again’ and ‘I Miss You’ during their show.
It marked the first time Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge were on stage together since 2015 when the latter left the group.
Following news that Frank Ocean won’t be returning for weekend two, the band will now close out the weekend by performing on the main stage on Sunday night at 9:20 p.m. Pacific time.
Bad Bunny and Post Malone
Although his show may have caused a stir due to a Harry Styles tweet and some audio problems, Bad Bunny delivered during his headline performance on opening weekend.
The Puerto Rican even brought out Post Malone for a surprise performance, as well as Jhay Cortez and Jowell & Randy.
Metro Boomin, The Weeknd and more
Metro Boomin’ wasn’t alone during his set at the Sahara Stage.
Joined by The Weeknd, who made his return to Coachella with ‘Heartless’ and ‘Creepin’, the rapper also welcomed John Legend, Don Toliver, Future, 21 Savage, and Sean “Diddy” Combs to the stage.
Two Friends and Bebe Rexha
Two Friends also hit the Sahara Stage and brought out Bebe Rexha for a surprise performance.
She performed her upcoming single ‘If Only I’ (a track that also features Loud Luxury), as well as her hit ‘I’m Good (Blue)’.
Becky G and Natti Natasha
Becky G dazzled the audience by performing her hits on the main stage. She was later joined by Dominican reggaeton singer Natti Natasha for ‘Sin Pijama’.
Blondie and Nile Rodgers
Blondie fans were pleased to hear the band play their hits. They also brought out Nile Rodgers and played ‘Rapture’ and ‘Backfired’.
BENEE and Gus Dapperton
New Zealand singer-songwriter BENEE made her Coachella debut, and was joined by Gus Dapperton to perform their song ‘Supalonely’.
Billie Eilish and Labrinth
After headlining Coachella in 2022, Billie Eilish returned to the stage during Labrinth’s set on Saturday during the opening weekend.
The dup performed their recent collaboration, ‘Never Felt So Alone’, to the delight of fans.
Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding
Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding have worked together several times in the past, so it was no surprise to see her during his set.
Although Harris played ‘I Need Your Love’ and ‘Outside’ without her, she later got in the action to sing ‘Miracle’.
Kali Uchis and Tyler, the Creator
Along with Tyler, the Creator, Kali Uchis was also joined by Don Toliver and Omar Apollo during her performance.
Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro
Fresh off news of their engagement, Rosalía was joined by fiancé Rauw Alejandro during her Saturday set.
Rosalia performed hit songs from throughout her career, with a heavy focus on tracks from 2022′s ‘Motomami’, with the couple later switching their focus to songs from their new debut EP, ‘RR’.
Jackson Wong and Ciara
The Hong Kong-born singer left quite the mark during his Coachella debut, bringing Ciara on stage for a medley of hits that included ‘Level Up’, ‘Lose Control’, ‘Goodies’ and ‘1,2, Step’.
Willow and Jaden Smith
The two siblings joined together to perform ‘Summertime in Paris’ at the Mojave stage with dad Will Smith in attendance.
Kaytranada, H.E.R. and more
Kaytranada and H.E.R. performed ‘Intimidated’ on Friday of the second weekend, with other surprises including Tinashe, who sang ‘The Worst in Me’, and Anderson .Paak who sang ‘Glowed Up’.
A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and Tyga
The rapper was joined by Tyga for ‘Sartender’ and ‘Rack City’, and also welcomed YG to the stage for ‘Big Bank’.
Latto and Saweetie
Although Latto attracted attention from fans online who questioned the size of her Coachella crowd, the rapper delivered quite the show for those in attendance.
Along with singing ‘Big Energy’, she was joined by fellow rapper Saweetie for ‘BFDS Remix’, as well as TiaCorine and Lola Brooke.
MUNA and boygenius
Phoebe Bridgers joined MUNA during weekend one, with the pop band welcoming boygenius to the stage for ‘Silk Chiffon’ during the second weekend.
Gorillaz and Bad Bunny
Although Bad Bunny was busy with his own headline performance, the Puerto Rican found the time to join Damon Albarn of Gorillaz to deliver ‘Torementa’ on weekend two.
Gorillaz were also joined by Beck for ‘The Valley of the Pagans’ and Thundercat for ‘Cracker Island’.
Bad Bunny, Jhay Cortez and more
Bad Bunny was once again joined by Jhay Cortez during his performance during weekend two of Coachella.
He was also joined by Arcángel for ‘La Jumpa’, Grupo Frontera for ‘un x100to’ and José Feliciano for several acoustic songs.
Metro Boomin’, Don Toliver and more
Just like the first weekend, Metro Boomin’ brought out plenty of names for his performance.
Names like Don Toliver, Future and The Weeknd all performed hits with the 29-year-old rapper.
Labrinth and Zendaya
Zendaya surprised fans during weekend two by performing on stage for the first time in over seven years.
The 26-year-old joined Labrinth during his set, performing ‘I’m Tired’, as well as ‘All of Us’, from the HBO hit series ‘Euphoria’.
