Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated Eras Tour will make its first stop at Glendale’s State Farm Stadium in Arizona on March 17. The town plans to welcome the singer by temporarily changing its name in Swift’s honor.

Mayor Jerry P. Weiers will read the proclamation on Monday, March 13 and welcome messages will be hung in the city’s Westgate Entertainment District in celebration. Additionally, many local restaurants are reportedly adding Swift-themed menu items for a limited time.

The name change will remain in effect until March 18 once the singer moves on to her next venue.

Stanford’s ‘All Too Well’ course

It’s not just the people of Glendale, Arizona who are Swifties. Stanford University announced that, starting winter 2023, they will be offering a 10-week course called ‘All Too Well’ which will serve as an in-depth analysis of the singer’s 2012 hit.

The university’s website reads: “With each quarter offering unique courses, these student-led classes are focused on hands-on learning and have included topics such as travel sketching, watercolor, music composition, improv acting, animation, and digital art, among many others.”

‘All Too Well’ was released on Swift’s ‘Red’ album.

Stanford isn’t the first school to offer a Swift-related course. In spring 2022, New York University launched a Taylor Swift course, while in the same year, the University of Texas announced a new undergraduate course called ‘The Taylor Swift Songbook’.

Eras Tour

Swift announced the tour with a post to Twitter with a handful of tour dates.

“I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift I The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past & present!) The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can!”

The tour currently has 52 dates from March 17 to August 9.
