On 23 October, Ryan Reynolds turns 48 with the Canadian principally known for his role as an actor having starred in the likes as The Proposal, Green Lantern, 6 Underground, Free Guy and being the central figure in the three films that compose the Deadpool saga.
The Vancouver born Reynolds also has a stake in Mint Mobile and is a co-owner of Welsh football club Wrexham Association Football Club (along with fellow Hollywood star Rob McElhenney), which inspired the FX/Disney + documentary Welcome to Wrexham.
Reynolds began his career starring in the Canadian soap opera Hillside (1991-1993) and then continued with minor roles before making a name for himself on the show Two Guys and a Girl from 1998 to 2001. His film debut came in 1993 in the movie Ordinary Magic and since that time, Reynolds has seen his career as an actor blossom and at the same time the Canadian has proven to be a shrewd businessman.

According to specialist portal Celebrity Net Worth, Ryan Reynolds has a net worth of $350 million. The vast majority of the Canadian-born actor’s wealth comes from his entrepreneurial endeavors, specifically through the sales of Aviation Gin and Mint Mobile.
Reynolds has become one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood with his highest-grossing films include Deadpool (2016), which generated over $780 million worldwide, its sequel Deadpool 2 (2018), which grossed over $785 million, and Deadpool & Wolverine, which has taken $1.3 billion.

Reynolds is also a successful entrepreneur, having invested in several businesses such as Aviation American Gin, which he acquired initially in 2018 to later sell to Diageo in 2020 in a a deal worth hundreds of millions of dollars with a reported $335 million paid in cash up front.
In December 2019, the actor purchased a minority stake in wireless carrier Mint Mobile. In March 2023, Mint was acquired by T-Mobile in a deal valued at $1.35 billion at the time it was announced it was reported that Reynolds is estimated to have owned 25% of Mint.
If so, his cash stake would be $131 million before tax with the actor also reportedly received $205 million in T-Mobile stock.
Investment in sport
Reynolds moved into sport back in 2021 as he became co-owner of struggling Welsh side Wrexham AFC with fellow Hollywood star Rob McElhenney. Despite investing heavily in the club, the team have responded with success on the pitch as they strive to move their way through the English pyramid system.
The investment has been offset in short through the success of the offshoot ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary which has generated over $3.2 million. As a result of the success of the documentary, the club has experienced significant growth in worldwide fans and social media followers and secured lucrative sponsorship deals. The club also confirmed that turnover rose from nearly $7.5 million to $13.3 million in the space of two years.
