Bad Bunny defeated fellow Puerto Rican WWE professional wrestler Damian Priest at Backlash in a San Juan street fight in Puerto Rico on Saturday.

The match was Bad Bunny’s first solo match, after previously fighting against Priest’s ‘The Judgement Day’ group. The two previously appeared to be friends, only for Priest to chokeslam him into a table during his Monday Night Raw appearance on April 3.

Bad Bunny then challenged Priest to a street fight, and the two were seen squaring off before Saturday’s event at a press conference, where Bad Bunny told Priest: “I respect you as a fighter but as a person you’re a miserable f—--,” before being shoved by Priest.

An action-packed show

Bad Bunny walked out to the ring with his song ‘Chambea’ hyping up the audience before unveiling a literal shopping cart of weapons at his disposal, including garbage cans, chains, chairs, and a kendo stick adorned with the flag of Puerto Rico.

In the ring, Bad Bunny caught Priest in a Michinoku Driver, followed by Priest attempting a South of Heaven, before meeting a chair to the face.

The two took their fight outside the ring and into the crowd, where Bad Bunny again found himself shoved through a table as a result of Priest’s Broken Arrow move, where he was then dragged through the crowd back into the ring.

Finn Bálor and Dominick Mysterio joined the fight to back Priest but were surprised to see Rey Mysterio, Savio Vega, and The Latino World Order on Bad Bunny’s side. The crowd was overjoyed to see Carlito join the fray too.

The fight ended when Bad Bunny performed his signature move, the Bunny Destroyer, Bad Bunny’s version of a Canadian Destroyer, leaving the singer as the clear winner.

WWE fans are in awe of Bad Bunny’s skill

While many celebrities have participated in WWE matches, including Shaquille O’Neal, Jon Stewart, and many more, many WWE fans are surprised at Bad Bunny’s skill in actually participating in his fights and improving with each show.

Bad Bunny himself is also a fan of WWE and has previously stated that while he was unable to see the last WWE event in Puerto Rico, he knew he wouldn’t miss this year’s event.

“In 2005 when I was a kid, I wasn’t able to attend New Year’s Revolution at El Coliseo,” Bad Bunny said in a statement. “Finally, 18 years later WWE returns to the island with a massive event and this time I won’t miss it.
