Bad Bunny feared for his life after WWE Backlash 2023 injuries

Bad Bunny won his first solo match at the WWE Backlash 2023.

Bad Bunny may be known for his music, but he’s also an accomplished professional wrestler and is fresh off his first WWE solo match win earlier this month.

Having defeated fellow Puerto Rican WWE wrestler Damian Priest in a Street Fight in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny recalls the extent of his injuries after the fight.

Bad Bunny thought he was going to die

“[It] was insane [it]was really crazy. The people, the energy, was another level. What happened that night, I’m never going to forget it,” Bad Bunny told Zane Lowe in a recent interview with Apple Music.

“I remembered that I said before that WrestleMania fight was my favorite moment of my life, but the backlash fight in Puerto Rico was another level,” he added. Bad Bunny took on Finn Bálor and Dominick Mysterio in addition to Damien Priest, and was backed by the LWO, the Latino World Order, including Carlito at the Backlash fight.

“It was really one of the biggest and best moments of my life, I really enjoyed the fight.”

Bad Bunny was later asked about the physical repercussions of the fight.

“I suffered,” he began. “I got hurt. My back, my whole body, I felt that I was going to die after that match.

“I was really scared about it, oh no, I’m going to die,” he joked. Bad Bunny shared a photo of the extent of his back injuries in his Instagram stories, showing the rapper covered in scars and bruises.

I really thought that I was going to die after the match. But it’s part of it, you know I was prepared, and now I’m going to drop a song,” he teased, referring to his newest single ‘Where She Goes’ released on Thursday and featuring a music video with a number of A-List cameo appearances.

“I love it and that’s all that matters.”

When did Bad Bunny join his first WWE fight?

Bad Bunny made his WWE debut at WrestleMania 37 in 2021, where he fought alongside Damien Priest before they became enemies.

The duo defeated The Miz and John Morrison, and saw Bad Bunny perform his first Bunny Destroyer move, modeled after the Canadian Destroyer.

Since his debut, Bad Bunny has impressed fans of WWE with his skill and ability, clearly showing off his love of the sport.
