Bad Bunny thanks Puerto Rico after spectacular showing at WWE Backlash
Fans were treated to quite a show at WWE Backlash, as Bad Bunny did battle with Damian Priest.
Bad Bunny put on quite a show at WWE Backlash on Saturday night, and the singer made sure to show some love for Puerto Rico following the performance.
The singer did battle with fellow Puerto Rican Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight that brought the crowd to its feet.
Even though it was Bad Bunny’s first solo match in the WWE, he exceeded expectations, with fans and critics applauding him for the work he’s put in to make sure his cameos are well-received.
On Monday, Bad Bunny took to social media to thank fans who attended the show.
“I’m still processing this. Words can’t describe what I felt that day. It was a dream,” he wrote.
“Thank you Puerto Rico, you were the real stars both nights. There’s no energy like what you brought. Now the world knows where the best wrestling fans in the world are: P FKN R”

Along with thanking fans, Bad Bunny also showed off the damage he took from his match with Priest.
The bruises aren’t all that surprising given the battle that Bad Bunny and Priest had in front of what was an electric crowd in San Juan.
It all started when Bad Bunny walked to the ring with his song, ‘Chambea’, playing. As the crowd sang along, the singer unveiled a shopping cart of weapons that were used in the match, including garbage cans, chains, chairs and a kendo stick adorned with the Puerto Rico flag.
Although Bad Bunny doesn’t have much ring experience, he didn’t hold back, delivering a Michinoku Driver.
Given the match was a Street Fight, the two took things outside the ring and into the crowd. At one point, Priest even put Bad Bunny through a table by hitting him with the Broken Arrow, before dragging him back to the ring.
The match saw plenty of run ins, with Finn Balor and Dominick Mysterio helping their fellow Judgement Day-member. However, Bad Bunny had help from some friends as well, with Rey Mysterio, Savio Vega, Carlito and the LWO all playing a role in the contest.
In the end, Bad Bunny hit Priest with his signature move, the Bunny Destroyer, which is his version of the Canadian Destroyer, before pinning his opponent and picking up the victory.
