Big Brother season 26 finale: how much money does the winner get?
The 26th edition of reality show Big Brother premiered on July 17, 2024, with 16 contestants with eyes on the big prize.
The twenty-sixth season of the American reality television program Big Brother – handily titled Big Brother 26 – got underway on CBS mid July. The adaptation of the massively successful franchise created in 1999 by John de Mol continues to capture viewers.
This year, the show featured an artificial intelligence theme but generally followed the classic format, as the housemates live together and their every move is recorded as they look to avoid the weekly eviction vote. The finale brings the ‘fun’ to an end on Sunday, October 13.
Big Brother 26 offers big prize
94 HD cameras and 113 microphones were installed to record 24/7 in the Big Brother house and each week, someone has been voted out, with the last remaining houseguest receiving the grand prize of $750,000. The final three contestants with a chance of winning that are: Chelsie Baham, Makensy Manbeck and Cam Sullivan-Brown.
Following the two-night opening premiere, the series has aired Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays along with the weekly live eviction show hosted by Julie Chen Moonves.
This season’s houseguests included a celebrity chef, a former undercover cop, an event bartender, a former marine, a physical therapist and a crochet business owner, among others. They also got to experience an unforgettable summer with jaw-dropping surprises as “BB AI” entered the Big Brother house.
