Can you watch Deadpool & Wolverine without having seen Deadpool 1 and 2?
Deadpool & Wolverine is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Do filmgoers need to watch previous Deadpool editions to enjoy this one?
”Deadpool and Wolverine” is the most anticipated movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in recent years, and after the poor box-office performance of “The Marvels” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”, Marvel needs the loudest anti-hero to make an appearance and attract the public to the theaters again.
Together with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and the surprising cameos that are expected, Deadpool is predicted to bring in the crowds. However, some viewers might be wondering if they will need to watch previous installments of the franchise to appreciate the latest one.

Fortunately, according to its director, we do not need to prepare too much by watching previous movies.
“I was a good student in school. I’ll do my homework as an adult. But I am definitely not looking to do homework when I go to the movies,” Shawn Levy told the Associated Press.
“I very much made this film with certainly a healthy respect and gratitude towards the rabid fan base that has peak fluency in the mythology and lore of these characters and this world. But I didn’t want to presume that. This movie is built for entertainment, with no obligation to come prepared with prior research,” Levy added.

Cameos that remain unrevealed
“Deadpool and Wolverine” will be full of cameos of other Marvel characters, many of which have been officially confirmed. However, there is one that has had fans a-buzzing- the hypothetical appearance of Taylor Swift, who would supposedly play Dazzler, the mutant capable of creating strong energy from sound.
When asked about the rumor, Levy’s lips remained sealed.
“I can’t even believe you guys dare ask me something you know I can’t answer,” Levy said on Entertainment Tonight.
“All of America knows that I can’t answer that. But I would say, as I said before at CinemaCon, that the proliferation of rumors about who will and who will not be in the movie is fabulous, because no one will know the truth until July 26.”
“The rumors about this film are overwhelming,” said the director. “But also expectations, which is a fun situation.”
At the moment, there are already several guest appearances that the public is sure of: Famke Janssen will be there as Jean Gray from the original trilogy. We will also see Jennifer Garner dressed in the red suit of Elektra, which has sparked the rumor that Ben Affleck could also return as Daredevil, although this is far from being 100% official. It has also been bandied about that we could see Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
