The cause of death for S Club 7 member Paul Cattermole has been revealed.

According to a coroner’s report, the 46-year-old passed away from natural causes. Cattermole was found dead in his home in Dorset back on April 6, just weeks after announcing he was rejoining the group.

“We confirm that Mr Cattermole died from natural causes and our investigations have concluded,” a spokesperson for the Dorset Coroner’s Service in England said in a statement.

“As his death was of a natural cause, there will be no inquest.”

Cattermole was set to take part in S Club 7′s UK tour later this year. It’s since been announced that the tour, which has 11 stops, will go ahead, but that band member Hannah Spearritt won’t be taking part.

Spearritt talks about Cattermole’s tragic passing

Spearritt, who was in a relationship with Cattermole for several years, told The Sun she couldn’t stop crying after hearing the news.

“It’s still so raw and I have these moments where I don’t quite believe that it’s real. I still can’t believe I will never see him again,” she told the outlet on April 15.

“It’s all the more tragic because he was looking forward to the tour the most out of all of us. He just wanted to have fun and enjoy it.”

She added that the day after Cattermole’s passing, she woke up to a text message from the band’s tour manager saying she had bad news.

“I called the number and was told, ‘Paul has sadly passed, Paul has died’. I couldn’t make sense of it and had so many questions. I was trying to process it but I just couldn’t,” said Spearritt.

The band has rebranded as S Club ahead of the tour, which celebrates their 25th anniversary.

S Club 7 were one of the biggest pop bands in the UK in the late 1990s and early 2000s, releasing hits like ‘Reach’, ‘Don’t Stop Movin’ and ‘S Club Party’.

The band sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.
