Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have postponed all remaining 2023 tour dates “on doctor’s advice”, as the rock legend recovers from peptic ulcer disease.

There were 14 concerts left on the tour schedule, finishing up with a show at San Francisco’s Chase Center.

In a statement shared on social media on Wednesday, tour organisers said Springsteen “has continued to recover steadily” from the illness, and “will continue treatment through the rest of the year”.

“I’m on the mend”, Springsteen reassures fans

The 74-year-old, nicknamed “The Boss”, added: “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”

Three weeks ago, Springsteen had announced he was postponing all his remaining September tour dates due to symptoms of peptic ulcer disease. He had also rescheduled three shows each in August and March.
