Daft Punk’s fourth and final studio album ‘Random Access Memories’ was released back in 2013, and it proved to be a hit for the French electronic duo.

The album was their first and only to top the U.S. Billboard 200, and it has since been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

‘Get Lucky’, the lead single, topped the charts in over 30 countries and became one of the best-selling digital singles of all time, while the album went on to win several categories at the 2014 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Best Dance/Electronica Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.

Daft Punk to release a special 10th-anniversary edition

Daft Punk have announced they will be releasing a special 10th-anniversary edition of the ‘Random Access Memories’, which is due out May 12 via Columbia.

The album will be available in 3xLP, 2xCD, streaming, and downloadable formats, while a spatial audio (Atmos) mix of the original album will also be made available for the first time.

Will the reissue feature new music?

The album will feature nine tracks and 35 minutes of unreleased music.

The expanded tracklist will include unreleased tracks, demos, sketches, and other rarities. Among the notable tracks are ‘Horizon’ (previously only available in Japan), a demo of ‘Infinity Repeating’, and ‘Touch (2021 Epilogue)’.

One half of Daft Punk set to release solo album

Daft Punk fans will also be able to listen to music from one half of the musical duo, Thomas Bangalter, when his solo album ‘Mythologies’ arrives on April 7.

‘Mythologies’ is a 90-minute-long score and will be Bangalter’s first independent orchestral work.

The album is his first solo venture since the group announced their breakup on February 22, 2021.
