Daytime Emmys 2024 Nominations: complete list of TV shows and actors
The Daytime Emmys return, recognizing the best in American daytime television programming.
Sixty years on from the very first ceremony, the Daytime Emmys return. The first nominees for the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards in five categories were revealed on social media and through entertainment outlets as a taster on Thursday and today at noon, the full list dropped.
Multiple Daytime Emmy winners among the nominees
There were multiple nominations for the Netflix-produced series African Queens: Njinga and NBC’s Mutual Of Ohama’s Wild Kingdom Protecting the Wild. Kelly Clarkson, who already has seven Daytime Emmy awards is nominated for the Outstanding Daytime Talk Show Host award with the chance of winning it for a fourth time. She will be up against Whoopi Goldberg, who took home the award in 2009 and another previous winner, Tamron Hall.

The award for Outstanding Daytime Drama Series will be contested by The Bay (Popstar! TV), The Bold and the Beautiful (CBS), Days of our Lives (Peacock), General Hospital (ABC), Neighbours (Amazon Freevee) and The Young and the Restless (CBS).
In the running for this year’s Outstanding Lead Actress are: Finola Hughes, who has four previous nominations in the category, she will be up against Tamara Braun (Days of our Lives), Katherine Kelly Lang (The Bold and the Beautiful), Annika Noelle (The Bold and the Beautiful), Cynthia Watros (General Hospital) and Michelle Stafford (The Young and the Restless).
The Daytime Emmys are presented in recognition of excellence to commemorate excellence in daytime programming. The Daytime Emmy statuette, depicting a winged woman, arms aloft holding an atom, was designed by Louis McManus, who used his wife as the model.
This year’s ceremony will be held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites in Los Angeles on Friday 7 June starting at 8 p.m. EDT / 5 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on CBS. The awards show will also be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+ as well as the Emmys app and watch.TheEmmys.tv.
