Demi Lovato announces new song for upcoming ‘Scream 6’ movie

With less than a month until the official release of ‘Scream VI,’ fans of the slasher film franchise seem to be getting more clues about the upcoming film.

Just this week, the franchise released new character posters and images to hype up the upcoming film. On Wednesday, singer Demi Lovato teased a new song ‘Still Alive’ that will be on the film’s official soundtrack.

Lovato’s Twitter announcement

The announcement was confirmed by the singer, who took to Twitter earlier today to post a phone number. If you call the number, the series’ main villain, Ghostface, picks up the phone.

The famous series villain then proceeds to play a 30 seconds preview of Lovato’s song ‘Still Alive.’

She followed up with a second tweet including her ‘Scream VI’ character poster, along with a link to pre-save the upcoming song on various music streaming platforms.

‘Still Alive’ was written by Lovato, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, and Laura Veltz. Lovato has previously collaborated with Veltz on her last album ‘Holy Fvck.”

The single will be released on March 3, 2023, just seven days before the movie’s official release date. Lovato’s track is the first song identified on the upcoming movie soundtrack.

Lovato updates

Lovato has caught the attention of the public recently with the red-carpet debut of her relationship with Jordan Lutes.

The couple is very active on social media, often posting pictures together, and made their first red-carpet appearance at the pre-Grammy gala in early February.

The couple had been romantically linked just six months earlier by being spotted out together numerous times.

The two first met when collaborating on Lovato’s last studio album, ‘Holy Fvck’, which was released in August 2022.

Jordan Lutes, who goes by the stage name Jutes, has since released numerous singles since the two started dating. His latest song titled ‘Fingers’ was released on January 22, 2023.
