Dua Lipa wears stunning 100-carat necklace to the 2023 Met Gala

Lipa is one of the 2023 Met Gala co-hosts and wore a gorgeous tweed Chanel ball gown from the luxury brand’s 1992 fall collection, designed by Karl Lagerfeld. The cream and black color palette gave her look a refined elegance while still turning heads.

As glamorous as Lipa’s dress is, the star of the show is undoubtedly her necklace. Lipa wore a 100-carat Tiffany & Co. piece.

She is the first to wear the jewelry company’s Legendary diamond in a public appearance, wearing it on Tiffany & Co.’s Lucida Star necklace.

Lipa’s Legendary diamond is inspired by Tiffany & Co.’s infamous yellow diamond, featuring a nearly identical cut to the original.

The yellow diamond has been worn by four iconic women since its introduction: Mary Whitehouse at a 1957 Tiffany & Co. ball, Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ promo in 1961, Lady Gaga at the 2019 Academy Awards, and Beyonce in a campaign for Tiffany & Co. in 2021.

Tonight, Lipa pays homage to the history of the diamond in Tiffany & Co.’s new, responsibly-sourced Legendary diamond.
