Elon Musk says he will give Taylor Swift a child
Eyebrows were raised when the businessman tweeted that he would give Taylor Swift a child and guard her cats.
When Elon Musk is not unplugging cables to charge his phone at X HQ, sending things awry for the millions of users on the platform, or when he’s allowing hate speech to propagate and spread throughout the network, he sometimes finds his phone at the end of his fingertips and starts to type. His genius brain founded Tesla, one of the biggest companies in the world, and his ultra-ambitious limbic system wants humanity to conquer another planet. But he’s also just a bit odd.
And when I say odd, I mean he told Taylor Swift he wanted ‘to give her a child’ levels of odd. Yes, the owner of Twitter wrote a bizarre message in response to the singer’s support of Democrat Kamala Harris after the politician grabbed, crushed and liquified Donald Trump in the recent Presidential debate.
“Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life,” Musk wrote on his social media platform. AS USA is unable to confirm whether or not Musk suggested he would be willing to impregnate Swift or instead hand over custody of one of the twelve children he has.
While we’re not entirely sure what the contents of Musk’s tweet may mean, and without wanting to dig too deep for fear of falling over the event horizon and never returning, the message could reference Swift’s post on Tuesday night: the artist uploaded a picture of herself holding her cat, signed “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady”. This is a clear dig at Trump’s VP, JD Vance, who previously criticised Democrats as “childless cat ladies.”
Swift, who is set for a VMA sweep tonight, had remained largely silent on her political views, however many had - now rightly - suggested that she was not in favour of the country being run by Donald Trump. The latest public outing for the ex-President, the aforementioned debate against Kamala Harris, was widely agreed upon to have been a failure in performance by the business magnate.
While Musk has moved to support the Republican, the public response to his strange message has been one-sided to say the least, and it’s not just the Swifties who have gone in on the South African. “Creepy” and “weird” were the main adjectives that people were in favour of using when AS USA dipped a toe into the replies, and it seems that he’s done more harm than good, creating bad blood with Taylor. Kamala, meanwhile, has fully jumped on the bandwagon, and Swiftie style ‘Harris-Walz’ friendship bracelets have already sold out on their official website.
