Emily in Paris is ending: Lily Collins confirms Season 6 will be the final chapter
The sixth season of ‘Emily in Paris’ arrives at the end of the year and will be the last of the popular Netflix series.
Emily in Paris has been one of Netflix’s biggest global hits since its 2020 debut — even if critics never fully embraced it. Now, after five seasons of viral outfits, Parisian drama, and endlessly chaotic romances, Lily Collins has confirmed that the series will officially end with Season 6, arriving late this year.
Collins delivered the news through Netflix’s official channels, telling fans that the upcoming season will close Emily Cooper’s story for good: “After six unforgettable years playing Emily Cooper, I’m here to announce that Season 6 will be the last.”
A global rom‑com phenomenon comes to a stylish close
In her message, Collins promised that the final season will give fans everything they love about the show — and serve as a proper farewell to Emily’s whirlwind life in Paris.
She added that the cast and crew are “putting our whole hearts into making this a fantastic final season,” which is already in production. “I can’t wait to experience all the magic ahead and celebrate our last season with you in the chicest way yet. We’re incredibly grateful and we love you all.”
Where the story picks up
Season 6 will begin right after the Season 5 finale, which ended with Emily turning down a quiet life in the Italian village of Solitano with Marcello. The couple broke up, and Emily returned to Paris alone — something Gabriel soon discovers. From Greece, he sends her a postcard inviting her to join him there, setting up yet another romantic crossroads.
