Eminem’s daughter gets married: was the rapper at her wedding?

On Friday, rapper Eminem’s oldest daughter, Alaina Marie Scott, tied the knot with her longtime partner, Matt Moeller. The wedding took place in a large, elegant garden in Detroit, Michigan, with 125 guests in attendance, Page Six reports.

Scott took to social media to share images of the big day. “June 9, 2023 simply one of the best days of my life,” she wrote on Instagram underneath a series of seven photos from the event. “In this lifetime and in the next, my soul will always find yours.” At the time of writing, the post had received nearly 21,000 likes.

Scott’s more than 90,000 followers were also treated to a short video in which the 30-year-old showed off her impressive engagement ring.

Eminem nowhere to be seen in wedding photos

In the photos shared by Scott, she can be seen sharing the special day with friends and family, including Hailie Jade, her younger sister, who was maid of honour at the event. However, one person who is conspicuous by his absence from the images is the bride’s father.

Page Six tried to contact Eminem’s representatives to confirm whether or not he was at his daughter’s wedding, but they did not immediately respond to the media outlet.

Social media users have suggested that the artist was simply keeping a low profile at the event, to avoid deflecting attention from the bride and groom.

Alaina Marie Scott was adopted by Eminem in 2000 due to the drug-addiction issues suffered by her biological mother, Dawn Scott, who was the twin sister of the rapper’s ex-wife, Kimberley Anne Scott. Dawn Scott died in 2016 from a suspected heroin overdose.

Hailie Jade Scott Mathers, born to Eminem and Kimberly Anne, is the musician’s only biological child. In 2005, he also adopted Stevie Scott, the daughter of Kimberly Anne and her ex-boyfriend, Eric Hartter.
