Emma Heming Willis asks paparazzi to give husband Bruce Willis ‘some space’

The ‘Die Hard’ actor’s wife asks paparazzi to avoid yelling at him following his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.

Emma Hemming celebra su aniversario de bodas con Bruce Willis en medio de la lucha del actor contra la demencia frontotemporal.

Model and Cocobaba founder Emma Heming Willis grew emotional in a video she shared to Instagram on Saturday addressing a paparazzi interaction with her Husband. The actor had been photographed by paparazzi during a rare outing earlier last week.

The ‘Die Hard’ actor’s wife has been working with a dementia specialist following Willis’ recent diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. She shared a video on Instagram seeking out advice to keep him safe while in public.

An emotional plea

“To other caregivers or dementia care specialists navigating this world ... Any tips or advice on how to get your loved ones out in the world safely? Please share below,” wrote Emma in the caption.

The video showed Emma in her Saturday morning pajamas while she acknowledges the challenges of caring for someone with dementia.

“In service of raising awareness around dementia, because that is my goal, if you are someone that is looking after someone with dementia, you know how difficult and stressful it can be to get someone out into the world and just to navigate them safely — even just to get a cup of coffee,” she shared.

She went on to reference her husband, 67, being photographed during his outing at a coffee shop in Santa Monica, California last week.

“I’m just seeing headlines,” she said, her tone changing. “And there’s a video of my husband out getting some coffee with some friends that did a stand-up job with protecting him.”

Protecting her husband

She stops to collect herself and after a brief pause, she returns to explain further, “It’s clear that there’s still a lot of education that needs to be put forth.”

She continued, “So this one is going out to the photographers and the video people that are trying to get those exclusives of my husband out and about: Just keep your space. I know this is your job, but maybe just keep your space.”

“For the video people, please don’t be yelling at my husband asking him how he’s doing or whatever — the woohoo-ing and the yippee ki yays ... just don’t do it. OK? Give him his space.

Allow for our family or whoever’s with him that day to be able to get him from point A to point B safely. That’s my PSA,” she concluded.

Emma Heming Willis shares two young daughters with the actor and has been outspoken about Willis’ diagnosis for the last couple of months. The actor’s three older daughters – whom he shares with Actress Demi Moore – have also been vocal about their dad’s diagnosis.
