From Pinterest boards to Martin Short’s ring bearing duties: Inside Selena Gomez’s wedding plans
Gomez and Benny Blanco are set to wed in California with celebrity guests, menu reveals, and a Beverly Hills move ahead.
Not long ago, Benny Blanco was “roasted” for being included in People’s Sexiest Man Alive issue, but it looks like he will have the last laugh. The Grammy-nominated music producer is set to marry one-time teen idol Selena Gomez later this month.
Gomez-Blanco wedding set for Montecito
According to TMZ, the couple will tie the knot in Montecito, California. The wedding follows their engagement announcement last December, which quickly sparked curiosity about their plans.
Since then, Gomez and Blanco have shared only small glimpses of what to expect. In a podcast appearance in May, they hinted at details from the menu. And at last week’s MTV Video Music Awards, Paris Hilton revealed she would be among the guests.
Celebrity guests joining the celebration
During Gomez’s recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she confirmed that Martin Short and Steve Martin, her co-stars on Only Murders in the Building, would also attend.
“Marty’s the ring bearer,” Gomez joked. Although Short won’t actually take on the role, he nevertheless put his disappointment behind him to express his excitement about the big day: “We are all so excited because we love this lady. And we love her fiancé.”
Gomez enjoying the planning process
In an Allure cover story, Gomez said she has been having a “wonderful” time with her wedding planning, which coincides with her promotion for the new season of Only Murders in the Building.
She also admitted that Pinterest has been her secret weapon. “I have all my folders of inspiration for the wedding, for cooking, for style,” the 33-year-old explained.
New life together in Beverly Hills
After the ceremony, Gomez and Blanco are expected to move into a new home in Beverly Hills, beginning the next chapter of their lives together.
