Golden Globes 2024: Who will announce the nominees?
The list of nominees for the 81st Golden Globes will be announced live on CBS on Monday 11 December.
The production teams and leading casts of Barbie and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer are hotly tipped to be among the contenders to pick up at least one Golden Globe at next month’s ceremony in Los Angeles. The full list of nominees will be announced on Monday 11 December 2023, including those up for two brand new categories, one each in film and TV - the Golden Globe for best performance in stand-up comedy on television; and a Golden Globe for cinematic and box office achievement.
Stand-up comedian Cedric Antonio Kyles AKA Cedric ‘The Entertainer’ and actor Wilmer Valderrama have been named as the presenters who will announce the nominees in each category on Monday 11 December 2023. The event will be shown live on CBS Mornings starting at 8 a.m. ET / 5 a.m. PT with the identities of the nominees posted simultaneously on social media.
Cedric is currently producing and a leading cast member of CBS comedy The Neighborhood (starring as Calvin Butler) as well as starring in and executive producing the A&E Network series Kings of BBQ and hosting and executive producing The Greatest #AtHome Videos. In 1994, he received the Richard Pryor Comic of the Year Award from Black Entertainment Television for hosting Def Comedy Jam and BET’s Comic View. More recently, the actor and comedian was honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce with the 2,640th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
Valderrama currently stars in the #1 TV drama NCIS on CBS and is developing a new Zorro series at Disney Branded Television. He is also a producer and activist, engaged in multiple philanthropic initiatives, and actively involved with various organizations, including the USO, HARNESS, Voto Latino, the National Hispanic Media Coalition, and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
When will the 2024 Golden Globes ceremony take place?
The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday 7 January 2024 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. The gala will be broadcast live in the United States on CBS with a live stream available on Paramount+.
