Jeremy Meeks rose to fame after his 2014 mugshot went viral and he was deemed ‘hot felon’ and ‘prison bae’.

He is now working on a memoir with a ghostwriter detailing his rise to fame, and hopes to release the memoir in October of this year.

The memoir will cover his initial arrest and mugshot in 2014, his release from jail in 2016, and his successful modeling and acting career that followed shortly after. Meeks also explained that it would be impossible to fit his life into an hour-and-a-half-long movie and is considering a TV series in the future.

The 39-year-old actor divulged the details to paparazzi after landing at the Los Angeles International Airport Friday. He also spoke about current movie films he is wrapping up. According to IMDb, Meeks has three upcoming movies in the works.

“My life story is coming out in a book,” he gushed to TMZ. “It’s a bit surreal, I’m very excited.”

He continued, “October 10th… It’s been a ride”

TMZ also asked Meeks if the memoir would be developed into a movie later, to which he replied: “Actually we’re looking to go into a series, to chop my life into an hour and a half is almost impossible.”

The actor also explained how he’s unsure if he would play himself in the series, or if they would cast another actor to play the role.

Jeremy Meeks’ past

Meeks has opened up about his troubled past in interviews before. Speaking with Chelsea Grayson, he revealed that he was born dependent on heroin.

“Both of my parents were heroin addicts. I was a heroin baby,” Meeks explained calmly.

“So, my childhood was very, very dark. My dad committed a murder when I was nine months old and killed my mum’s best friend.”

How did Jeremy Meeks get famous?

Meeks rose to fame after he was arrested in 2014 during a gang sweep in Stockton, California. The police department posted his mugshot to their Facebook account, which then went viral.

Meeks explained to Buzzfeed after his release, that within 72 hours of going viral, he started receiving over 300 letters daily while still in prison.
