How much is the Miss USA crown worth? Size, weight and what is it made of
The Miss USA crown’s worth can be likened to that of a small house or condo. Not bad for a glorified hat.
Miss USA 2024 is underway with spectacular outfits and a dazzling crown to match for the winner. 51 women from across the US are fighting for the chance to put on the tiara and take the nomination to represent the US at the Miss Universe competition in Mexico later this year.
While there is little information online about the 2024 crown, the same company, Diamonds International Company still produces the crown. It is the last year of their deal with Miss USA.
That 2016 crown was made of 33 diamonds, 30 Czech crystals, 222 white sapphires, 340 blue sapphires, 112 rubies, and a white gold base, giving it a total weight of 372.56g. The value was put at $300,000, which in 2024 money is $392,707.
Does Miss USA keep the crown?
No, the winner of this years pageant will pass the tiara on to the winner next year.
However, they do get other prizes. The winner will receive $50,000 in scholarships and will travel the country on behalf of the Miss USA Organization as a “contracted employee,” which will earn her a six-figure salary, plus expenses paid for the year.
