How Shakira feels about those Tom Cruise dating rumors
It looks as though Shakira is all that interested in starting a relationship with Tom Cruise.
Singing superstar Shakira has her choice of men to date following her recent break up with her long-time partner, Gerard Piqué — but Tom Cruise reportedly will not be one of them.
Shakira was spotted with Cruise at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, which sparked rumors that the two might be Hollywood’s next hot item.
Shakira is reportedly not interested
The rumors have become so intense that they have now been addressed by sources close to the singer, who dismissed the murmurings definitively.
“Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1 but she has no interest in dating him,” the insider told Us Weekly.
“He was really nice and she enjoyed his company, but she isn’t focused on dating him or anybody else at the moment. She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids and career for now.”
The source elaborated that the ‘Hips Don’t Lie singer’ had a good time with Cruise, and was even amused by the rumors that they might be dating.
“But it’s just not true,” the source clarified. “She had a fun time when they chatted, but that’s as far as things have gone.”
Tom Cruise might argue otherwise
Meanwhile, a source close to Cruise told Page Six that the ‘Top Gun’ actor was keen to pursue Shakira — and has even sent her flowers.
“He is extremely interested in pursuing her,” the source said, claiming that “[t]here is chemistry.”
“Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on [post split Piqué], and that could be Tom,” the source speculated. “[Cruise is] a nice-looking guy, and he is talented.”
“And she isn’t taller than him,” the source joked.
Cruise is five feet, seven inches tall and Shakira is five feet, two inches.
