María de la Rosa — known to her growing online fan base simply as DELAROSA — had been carving out her place in both music and social media. But early Saturday morning, the 22-year-old’s life came to a violent end in Northridge, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, according to details first reported by TMZ.
Police say they’re still piecing together the events of the night, though early witness accounts are helping shape the investigation. Several people were inside a parked car when two men approached and opened fire, according to authorities.
De la Rosa was rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors were unable to save her. Two of the other passengers remain in critical condition.
