Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik have sparked dating rumors after they were spotted kissing on a dinner date.
In a surprise turn of events, Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik are rumored to be dating after they were spotted kissing on what appears to be a dinner date in New York City on Thursday. Gomez was recently rumored to be dating Drew Taggart from ‘The Chainsmokers,’ just last month.
The rumors of the unexpected duo began circulating after TikTok user Klarissa Garcia posted a now-viral video in which she claims a friend of hers was a hostess at the restaurant where Malik and Gomez dined together.
Alleged dinner date
Garcia also included a screenshot of her friend’s WhatsApp messages that claim she saw the popstars kissing at dinner.
“Tell me how Selena Gomez And zayne Just walked into [redacted restaurant name] Hand in hand Making out And I seated them,” the string of texts read.
“Everyone’s out here feeling bad for Selena, MEANWHILE, she with gigis BABY ZADDDYYY.”
Neither Mailk nor Gomez have yet to address the circulating rumors. Gomez is one of the 18 people that Malik follows on Instagram, and Gomez also follows Malik back.
This isn’t the first time the two have been rumored together. Back in 2015, Gomez shut down rumors of a budding relationship between the two in an interview with Glamour Magazine.
“If he had asked me out on a date, I would be seen with him,” she said at the time. The two have had countless speculations of flirting and even musical collaborations over the years.
Gigi, Zayn, and Selena’s history
Malik is known for his last relationship with model Gigi Hadid, who he shares a daughter with. The two became official in January 2016, welcomed their baby in September 2020, and ultimately called it quits in October 2021.
Gomez is also a longtime friend of Gigi Hadid. The two were known for their friendship with Taylor Swift throughout 2015 and onwards. Notably, when Gomez performed at the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion show, she gave a shout-out to all of her friends walking in the show, specifically mentioning Hadid by name.
Fans of the two speculate they are still on good terms, citing that Hadid frequently likes Gomez’s Instagram posts.
