The 65th Annual Grammy Awards are here and rapper Jack Harlow hit the red carpet to talk fashion and hint at his upcoming acting debut in the ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ remake.

Harlow, who is nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album, looked dapper in a tan suit and black gloves while he did multiple interviews at the award show.

Speaking with E! News’ Laverne Cox, Harlow explained he chose a simple outfit he felt the most confident in for the event. “I don’t know,” he said. “I guess I just looked in the mirror and felt good about this one.”

Besides praising Harlow’s style, Cox also took the chance to bring up the fact that the ‘First Class’ singer will be appearing in the remake of the 1992 film ‘White Men Can’t Jump,’ asking Harlow how he felt about the film’s director saying the world will know him better for his acting than his music because of how talented he is.

“How does it feel to get that type of praise from your director?” Cox asked.

It’s high praise,” Harlow said. “I’m trying to decide whether I want that to be the case or not. We’re gonna see how things flow.”

“I will say this though, when I’m on set there’s something in me that feels magical and natural so I’m hoping to follow it.

What is ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ about?

The original 1992 movie follows Billy Hoyle (Woody Harrelson) who is a white basketball hustler that banks on black players underestimating his skills on the court. When he pulls one over on Sidney Deane (Wesley Snipes), his victim sees a lucrative opportunity, and they become partners in the con game, plying their trade across the courts of Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Billy has to keep one step ahead of mobsters, to whom he owes money, while staying on the good side of his “Jeopardy!”-obsessed, motormouth wife (Rosie Perez).

Who will star in the ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ remake?

Along with Harlow the film is set to include stars such as Lance Reddick, Laura Harrier, Andrew Schulz, Teyana Taylor, Vince Staples, Sinqua Walls, Tamera Kissen, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Zak Steiner, Myles Bullock, Paris Nicole and more.

The film will be available on Hulu May 19, 2023.
