Jamie Foxx has given his fans an update, assuring them that he’s doing well and that he has heard their well-wishes for him.

The actor shared a post on his Instagram account with the caption: “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”

He also posted an Instagram story via his daughter, Corinne Foxx’s account, sharing the news that Nick Cannon will be temporarily filling in for Foxx on ‘Beat Shazam’, a musical game show Foxx has been hosting since 2017.

In the story post, he wrote, “Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon. See you all soon,” indicating he is planning on returning to host the show ASAP.

An undisclosed ‘medical complication’

The Instagram post comes almost four weeks after the ‘Ray’ actor was hospitalized for an undisclosed medical emergency on April 12, which resulted in canceled filming days for his upcoming film ‘Back in Action’ also starring Cameron Diaz, putting the film’s completion state into question.

A stand-in actor has since been used in scenes involving Foxx in order to not have the filming stray too far from the schedule.

Since his hospitalization, his family has asked for prayers and privacy during what is a difficult time for the family.

His daughter first reassured fans that her father was “on his way to recovery” following the hospitalization news.

Since then, little has been disclosed about the actor’s condition, and he has kept quiet until today.

Fans and celebs have shown their love for Jamie Foxx

Fans and fellow celebs have shared their love and words of encouragement to Foxx and his family. Kerry Washington, who played the wife of Foxx’s character Django in ‘Django Unchained’, captioned an Instagram post with the caption “Sending you all the love and prayers my movie huzbin.”

LeBron James tweeted, “Sending my thoughts and prayers to the heavens above to my brother @iamjamiefoxx.”

Nick Cannon also recently shared an update on the actor’s health, “They say he’s alert, so we love it. That’s family right there.”

The family continues to urge his fans and the community to pray for Foxx and send him all the love.
