Jamie Foxx’s family gives update on recovery from medical complication

The daughter of Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx has taken to Instagram to give a family update on her father’s health.

Foxx was rushed to the hospital after facing a medical complication on Tuesday.

Corrine Foxx posted a statement to Instagram on Wednesday to let the public know her father is recovering.

“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne Foxx wrote on behalf of her family.

“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Foxx has been working on a new movie with Cameron Diaz

Though he faced a health complication this week, the 55-year-old actor has been hard at work on his recent production with Cameron Diaz, who has recently come out of retirement.

This will be her first feature film since 2014, when she starred in ‘Annie’ — a production which also featured Foxx.

Reportedly, Foxx was the one who successfully coaxed Diaz out of retirement.

An insider told People that Foxx and Diaz “have great chemistry” on set, and previously, another source had said that Foxx was key to Diaz’s comeback.

“When this project came along and she was pursued by Jamie Foxx, who she has known and worked with for years, she decided to go for it,” the source revealed.
