Who is Becky G’s fiancé? Sebastian Lletget breaks silence amid cheating allegations

Sebastian Lletget, the fiancé of Becky G, has responded to recent reports of infidelity by posting a lengthy Instagram statement on Monday.

The post comes after an Instagram user claimed the FC Dallas player cheated on the singer at a Madrid nightclub last year.

Although the user has since deleted their Instagram account, Lletget has responded to the accusations.

What did Lletget say?

Without going into any specifics, Lletget stated that “a 10 minute lapse in judgement results in an extortion plot.”

“Since this person did not get what they wanted it has now become a public social media spectacle filled with more lies than any truth and false posts aimed at the love of my life, the one person who I should never take for granted or put at risk,” he wrote.

He also added that he is committing himself to a “mental wellness program”, while also apologizing to Becky G.

“To Becky, you have been the light in my life, my strength, who has always shown me unconditional love,” Lletget wrote.

“Instead of honoring that love every day, I have done the opposite, hurting you, and disrespecting the one person I love more than anything. I am so sorry and know I have to do whatever it takes to earn back the trust and love you deserve.”

Who is Sebastian Lletget?

Lletget is a professional soccer player who plays for MLS side FC Dallas as a midfielder.

He previously spent time with the LA Galaxy, New England Revolution and Premier League side West Ham United.

Back in January 2017, he received his first call up to the United States national team from coach Bruce Arena, and later made his debut against Serbia on January 29, 2017.

He was part of the USMNT for the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup, captaining the team twice in five appearances, while also starting in the 1-0 win over Mexico in the final.

Becky G and Lletget’s relationship history

The two met through Jordan Spence, who is married to Naomi Scott, while Lletget was at West Ham United.

Scott and Becky G formed a close relationship while filming the 2017 film ‘Power Rangers’.

“So, we met through Jordan and Naomi, who kind of played Cupid for us,” Lletget said in a U.S. Men’s National Team profile.

“I like the way we met because it’s different from how it works with most people nowadays, meeting online or through a social app. It was really organic and almost old-fashioned.”

They began dating in June 2016, and became engaged on December 9, 2022.

“Our spot forever. 🤍,” Becky G wrote in an Instagram post, which included photos of 30-year-old Lletget proposing on one knee.
