Jenna Ortega and Zendaya among SAG Awards presenters
The SAG Awards is a known predictor of the upcoming Oscars.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards announced on Thursday that Jenna Ortega, Jason Bateman, Jeff Bridges, Zendaya, and Academy Award winner Aubrey Plaza will be among those to announce and hand over the prestigious award at Sunday night’s ceremony.
Joining them will be Amy Poehler, Eugene Levy, Matt Bomer, Adam Scott, and Ariana DeBose, as well as SAG president Fran Drescher.

The SAG Awards are for film and television stars alike, with the best in the industry gathering for a night of celebration. The awards show is usually an indicator of what audiences can expect at the Oscars, which is coming up March 12.
With a peer voting system, actors are the biggest brunt of the film industry, and whatever choices are made in the SAG nominations tend to reflect the upcoming Academy Awards. This year, fans are keenly watching the marquee film ensemble award.
The presenters as nominees
Many of those selected as presenters for the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards are also nominees.
Jenna Ortega is up for a nomination for her Netflix hit ‘Wednesday’. Zendaya has been nominated for best female actor for her television drama ‘Euphoria’, and Bridges and Bateman are head to head for television drama male actor nominees.
Plaza is nominated for ‘The White Lotus’, and Adam Scott is nominated for a male drama actor award for ‘Severance’.
When are the SAG Awards and how to watch them?
The 29th annual SAG Awards will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, California.
For the first time in the award show’s history, it will be available to watch live on Netflix’s YouTube channel, beginning at 8pm ET/5 pm PST.
It will also be available to watch on Netflix’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.
