Jenna Ortega does her iconic ‘Wednesday’ dance in new ‘SNL’ promo
The 20-year-old actress will take to the Studio 8H stage on Saturday, March 11.
Jenna Ortega might be taking on the role of host this weekend on ‘Saturday Night Live’, but she’s still paying tribute to her popular character Wednesday Addams in the hit Netflix show ‘Wednesday’.

In a new promotional video for this week’s episode, Ortega is in the SNL studio reading over her script for a possible promotional video idea.
“Honestly this is really well written,” Ortega says. “I just really don’t feel like I want to do the Wednesday dance for promo because we’ve seen so much of that already and I think it’s time to do something new.”
The camera then pans to the PDD (Please Don’t Destroy) trio, which includes Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy all wearing the iconic Wednesday dance outfit, who sadly claim the “didn’t want to do the dance either.”
“I just didn’t know because you’re all dressed exactly like Wednesday,” Ortega says.
The banter continues with the trio trying to play off the fact that they were dressed up, even telling Ortega that they didn’t know their outfits were the same as her characters.
“Wednesday Addams… more like Thursday Jones. It’s not like it would be a dream of ours to do the dance with you anyway,” the trio said.
Finally, Ortega gives in to the bit with a less than thrilled performance of her now viral dance with the group on the SNL stage.

Ortega has a busy weekend scheduled
Apart from her hosting duties at SNL, the young actress is also taking over the big screen with her latest movie “Scream VI” hitting theatres on Friday March 10.
The latest addition to the Scream film franchise will follow “four survivors of the Ghostface murders as they leave Woodsboro behind for a fresh start in New York City,” according to the film’s official synopsis.
“However, they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when a new killer embarks on a bloody rampage.”
Besides Ortega, the film includes both new and old names to the series with stars such as Melissa Barrera, Courtney Cox, Hayden Panettiere, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jack Champion, Josh Segarra, Samara Weaving, Tony Revolori, Dermot Mulroney and more.
