Jeremy Renner’s ‘Rennervations’ set for April release date

Jeremy Renner’s new reality docuseries ‘Rennervations’ is set to premiere this April only four months after this New Year’s day snowplow accident. Along with releasing a trailer for the four-part series, Disney+ also confirmed the series is set to drop on April 12.

‘Rennervations’ will be produced by Boardwalk Pictures. The show will follow the ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ star traveling the world to help reimagine unique purpose-built vehicles that work in service for the local communities.

The series will bring Renner back to his hometown of Reno, Nevada along with three other cities: Chicago, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and Rajasthan, India. Renner will work with his team of experts to locate decommissioned government vehicles that can be rebuilt for a new better purpose.

The “Driving force” behind recovery

“I’ve been on this journey for many years, and I started in my community by building vehicles for people in need. But a few years ago, I thought: How can I plus this up and create a bigger impact on a whole community? And that’s what this show does,” Renner said in a statement.

He continued, “This is one of my biggest passions and it’s a driving force in my recovery, and I can’t wait for the world to see it.”

‘Rennervations’ is Renner’s second TV project to be released after his New Year’s Day accident. The first is season two of Paramount+’s ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ in January. Both ‘Rennervations’ and ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ finished production before January.

New Year’s Day Accident

On January 1, 2023, Renner was flown to a Reno, Nevada area hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit in critical condition after his 14,330-pound Pristen Bully snow plow had run him over. Renner underwent two surgeries soon after suffering chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.

In total Renner suffered from 30 broken bones while trying to clear snowfall and divert the snowplow from the path of his nephew. His nephew suffered no reported injuries from the accident.
